Dolci may have moved to its new Elmwood Ave., Buffalo location but their Gelato menu is still just as sweet, and expansive.

These artisanal scoops are available every day of the year, but during the hot summer months, they make for a perfect treat on the city street.

Owner Dave Sampson has a passion for frozen confections that is reflected in their unique flavor combinations. Try the Burnt Caramel with Sea Salt, a fussy gelato and one not meant for bikini weather, but the sugar combined with smokiness from the chocolate chip walnut biscotti is worth it.

Dolci uses the contemporary gelato standard model of low fat, low air content, and high quality ingredients. At any given time, their offsite facility on Grant St. is a laboratory where they experiment with raw ingredients. Gelato lovers may also find Dolci’s gelato in area restaurants. Let your palate explore this summer, and try the Concord grape, Mixed Berry, Madagascar vanilla, or Lemon Curd, also made in house (hormone, antibiotic free, and with low fat milk).
