Today’s DRINK destination for Eat Drink Local Week is Mazza Chautauqua Cellars, located in Mayville.

Although the actual winery is located in North East Pennsylvania, Mazza Chautauqua Cellars is a unique local DRINK destination because they have something that no one else in Western New York does- a distillery! Nestled within Lake Erie Wine Country, Mazza Chautauqua produces more traditional brandies from their wines and utilizes local fruits for their eau de vies, or fruit brandies. Their current table wine offerings are a Chautauqua Blush, Chautauqua Red, Concord, Niagara, and Lighthouse Point Rosé. They have many other premium wines as well, including a Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Ice Wine. The distilled beverages are a unique fermented treat. They have four varieties of eau de vies- apple, plum, cherry and pear!

Mazza also features a great café where you can sample their wines and distilled beverages alongside a menu of paninis, sandwiches and salads. The café is open to the outdoors and offers great views of the surrounding area. You can sit back, relax, and try something new.

Mazza Chautauqua is open through the rest of June Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday they are open from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Their summer hours for July and August are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
