I was so excited to hear about the upcoming WNY Restaurant Week happening March 23-29. Not only did it stir fond memories of living in New York City years ago as a burgeoning foodie when my friends and I would begin making reservations at all the top restaurants the moment restaurant week was announced. Some of my most memorable gastronomic experiences happened this time of year (think La Cote Basque, La Grenouille, Daniel, Union Square Cafe, etc.). To be honest, restaurant week was the only time of year I could afford to eat at these famous dining institutions.
WNY is now getting their own restaurant week and it is about time. This is the economic shot in the arm that our local restaurants need. It is also a wonderful opportunity to engage your inner foodie and enjoy all that this region has to offer in dining experiences, without breaking the bank!
